This show is unthinkable without Badalamenti's music. The opening theme still gives me chills.

Three picks ranked by your taste, time and mood. Not feeling any? Say “not these” and we narrow it down again.
Fynema doesn't just look at your favourite genre; it learns from what you finish, what you drop and what you're curious about. You get three strong picks instead of an endless scroll, a heads-up when your show returns, and a place to talk once the credits roll.

No more endless scrolling to choose. Just three strong picks that fit your evening.
At most three titles per round, each with a clear “why this?”.
A few quick reactions for movies and for series, and your first taste profile is ready.
How often release info for the shows you follow is re-checked.
Fynema isn't a catalogue, a swipe app or a social network. It first solves one question: “What should I watch right now?”
01 · Before you watchThree picks ranked by your taste, time and mood. Not feeling any? Say “not these” and we narrow it down again.
02 · While you watchYour season and episode progress is saved. New episode, new season or a confirmed date? We let you know.
03 · After the creditsDiscuss the ending, characters and theories with AI Buddy, or join the title's community discussion.
Choose a mood and let Fynema narrow it down. Not into a card? Tap “Not for me”; every reaction changes the next round and makes the model a little more like you.
No sponsored picks: no studio or streaming service pays to get into this trio.
Sample picks are real cult films; the “why this?” notes are illustrative. In the app, picks come from the catalogue (TMDB) and are ranked by your reactions.
Fynema learns from more than ratings: what you finish, what you drop, the picks you skip and what you say in chat. It shows you what it learned, and you can correct it.
Most apps say “you liked sci-fi, here's more sci-fi”. Fynema runs on a learning model grounded in research on recommender systems, consumer behaviour and decision science. It tries to learn why you love something, not just what; it knows you a little better every time you use it, and over time puts titles in front of you that you'd never have thought to look for.
Opening a card, watching a trailer, saving a title and watching-then-loving it are different things. What you're curious about is never confused with what you love.
Picking a short comedy one evening doesn't turn your taste into comedy. Lasting taste, current interest and tonight's conditions are learned in separate layers.
Starter cards aren't random. After each answer, the next title is the one it can learn the most from.
Titles that share a thread with what you love, but that you'd never search for, are weighed too. That's where the surprising picks come from.
A pick you watched and didn't enjoy corrects the model. A single “no” never erases a whole genre from your life.
Every pick can be traced to the likes and behaviour behind it. Not a black box, but a profile that's open to you.
Your genres, services and 10+10 quick reactions build a starter profile.
What you search, explore, watch and rate sharpens your current interests and viewing habits.
Patterns you may not have noticed yourself, like which kind of story you return to on which evenings, or which creators you've quietly become attached to.
Our goal isn't more time in the app; it's you enjoying the film you chose. That's why notifications only arrive when a show you follow returns or someone replies to your discussion.

When you start a show, Fynema remembers where you left off. New episode, new season or a confirmed release date? You'll hear about it.
The two are independent. Try it.
AI Buddy knows whether you're choosing, watching or done. It guides you spoiler-free first, and once you mark “Watched”, it talks endings and theories.

Laura Palmer's killer is revealed in season 2, episode 7: Leland Palmer, possessed by BOB.
The pace isn't for everyone, but the patience Lynch builds the town with is mesmerising.
Every movie and show has its own discussion space. No people discovery, DMs or endless social feed; the topic is always the title itself.
Three steps: pick your source, choose what to move (watched titles, ratings or your list), upload the file, then review and confirm. Only the file you pick is sent, and you decide on any uncertain matches.
Pick the streaming services you use; we show where a title is available in your region and favour those in picks. If the data isn't reliable, we don't show it.
Every tracker was built for a different job, and the good ones are genuinely good. Here's how your history moves across, and what changes once it's here.
Bringing your history
TV Time shut down on 15 July 2026. Upload the data file you downloaded before it closed (the ZIP or the CSV inside it): the shows you follow and the episodes you watched come across, and you confirm any uncertain matches. Importing is free. Film history isn't part of that file; bring your films from Letterboxd or IMDb.
What's different here
Episode tracking and new season alerts carry on as before. On top of that you get films in the same library, three picks for tonight and an AI Buddy to talk about the episode you just finished.
Read the guide: TV Time →Bringing your history
Export your data from Letterboxd settings and upload the CSV files to Fynema. Watched films, ratings and your watchlist come across, so your taste profile starts full on day one.
What's different here
Letterboxd is built around a film diary and criticism. In Fynema, series are tracked episode by episode too, picks arrive as three choices instead of an endless feed, and your notes stay yours by default.
Read the guide: Letterboxd →Bringing your history
Export your ratings or watchlist from IMDb as a CSV and upload it. IMDb IDs make matching reliable.
What's different here
IMDb is still the best place to look up who directed what. Fynema is built for the other half of the problem: deciding on something tonight and never missing what comes next in your shows.
Read the guide: IMDb →Bringing your history
There's no direct import for these services. Adapt your export to the Fynema CSV template with title, year, type, watched date and rating columns, then upload it.
What's different here
Nothing to install, no extensions or media servers; Fynema focuses on the moment before you press play.
Read the guide: Trakt, Simkl and others →Every clear opinion on a movie or show moves you along the badge path; each new badge adds tokens to your wallet, and your highest badge becomes your profile title.

We built Fynema because we were tired of losing evenings to “what should we watch?”. We cover most of the server, catalogue and AI costs ourselves. Picks, series tracking, alerts, the community and your daily AI allowance all work without a single token.
Buy nothing and the heart of the app is still yours.
Tokens help keep Fynema running. In return they unlock bolder discovery and longer chats.
How should I build your next trio?
A small thank-you pack for people who want to support Fynema regularly.
Token pack and Premium prices will be announced at launch; purchases are made through the App Store.
Fynema is a personal movie and TV companion. It learns your taste, gives you a few strong picks for tonight, alerts you to new episodes and seasons of the shows you follow, and gives you a place to talk with AI Buddy or the community after watching.
Because the goal is to reduce decision fatigue. Instead of an endless feed, we show the three titles that best fit your taste and why each was picked. If none fit, change the mood and ask for a new trio.
Yes. We built Fynema for film lovers and cover most of its costs ourselves. Picks, series tracking, alerts, the community and 5 AI Buddy messages a day all work without tokens; the free tier may show light ads. Tokens are a way to support the app: earn them by watching a short ad or unlocking badges, or buy them, and use them for more personal pick modes or chats beyond the daily quota. For regular supporters there's an ad-free Premium.
Yes. Upload CSV exports from Letterboxd and IMDb, or a CSV/ZIP export from TV Time. For anything else, use the Fynema CSV template. You confirm any uncertain matches.
Release info for the shows you follow is re-checked regularly (every 12 hours). When a new episode, new season or date change appears, you're notified according to your settings. The same alert is never sent twice.
Pre-watch chat is spoiler-free by default. Once you mark a title as watched, or explicitly allow it, you can talk endings, theories and details.
Catalogue data comes from TMDB; streaming availability comes from TMDB data powered by JustWatch. The AI never invents a title that isn't in the catalogue.
No. Fynema uses a learning model grounded in research on recommender systems, consumer behaviour and decision science. It weighs your explicit reactions, what you open and explore, what you finish or drop and tonight's conditions separately, and never confuses curiosity with love. The more you use it, the better it knows you, including titles next door to your taste that you'd never find on your own. You can see, correct or reset what it has learned.
No. No studio or streaming service pays to appear in your picks; the trio is ranked only by your taste, your reactions and the limits you set. Ads in the free tier are separate from recommendations and never affect the ranking.
Yes. Upload the data file you downloaded before TV Time closed (the ZIP or the CSV inside it); the shows you follow and the episodes you watched come across and release tracking is switched on. You confirm uncertain matches, and importing is free. Film history isn't in that file; bring your films from Letterboxd or IMDb.
Yes. Pick your genres and services and react to the first cards; your starter profile is built on your device. When you want to keep it, create an account with Sign in with Apple or email.
Fynema is coming to iPhone first. An Android version is also planned.
Yes. You can permanently delete your account from inside the app; you're signed out immediately.
Fynema is coming to iPhone. Three picks that know your taste, new seasons you never miss and a place to talk when it's over.
